The Russian government also said that the use of “those words” does not target Putin, but they sound like a weak attempt by Biden to look like a “Hollywood cowboy.”
“The use of such language against the head of another state by the president of the United States is unlikely to harm our president, President Putin,” Kremlin spokesman Dmitry Peskov said.
In his speech in California, Biden wanted to demonstrate his concern about a nuclear conflict. On other occasions, the American president also called Putin a “butcher” and a “war criminal”.
