Jacksonville Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence was placed in the concussion protocol after Sunday’s (17) 23-7 loss to the Baltimore Ravens.
According to head coach Doug Pederson, Lawrence suffered an apparent concussion during one of his three plays on the Jaguars’ last possession, but he wasn’t sure which one. As per protocol, players have to be cleared by an independent neurologist before they can play.

If Lawrence is not released, he will likely be replaced by C.J. Beathard for Sunday’s (24) game against the Buccaneers. The Jaguars currently have only Lawrence and Beathard as quarterbacks, after cutting Nathan Rourke. They will likely re-sign him back this week.
Lawrence has never missed a game in his football career, and has also started every game since being drafted first overall in 2021, a streak of 48 consecutive starts. He completed 25 of 43 passes for 264 yards and a touchdown against the Ravens.
