This Monday (4), Jaguars quarterback Trevor Lawrence left the game against Cincinnati Bengals with an ankle injury. Per multiple reports he has a sprained ankle.

Cincinnati’s left tackle inadvertently stepped on Lawrence’s right ankle, after he was pushed back into his quarterback by Bengals pass rusher Trey Hendrickson. The Jaguars quarterback’s right leg was bent awkwardly and he immediately fell to the turf, needing help to get off the field.

Lawrence was limping as he walked through the tunnel, and was being helped by an athletic trainer and what appears to be a police officer. Coach Doug Pederson didn’t give any specific information during the post-match press conference, but confirmed that Lawrence will undergo further examinations this Tuesday (5).
“We’re still evaluating him. He’ll have more tests and things done here tonight and tomorrow. I’ll probably have a better update for you tomorrow”, said Pederson. The type of sprain will determine his possible absence, as well as the extent of any ligament damage. He suffered a knee injury at the start of the year, but didn’t miss any games.
