Alfa Romeo driver Valtteri Bottas announced he raised nearly $150,000 for men’s health charity with a nude calendar.

In October, Bottas announced the “Bottass 2024” calendar, a pun on his surname and the word “ass”. The calendar features 13 photos of his bare backside in a forest lake. The proposal was that with every sale, 5 dollars will be donated to the Movember Charity, an organization that focus on men’s mental health and the prevention of suicide, prostate cancer and testicular cancer.

On Thursday (30), Bottas announced that with the sales they managed to raise a substantial amount of money, around $150k. “Thank you so much for all the support in November. With the donations and with the calendars we have together raised a substantial amount for @Movember. Final figures to be calculated in the next few days, but we are talking around $150k of funds raised!”, he shared on his Instagram account.
The driver came up with the idea for the calendar with photographer Paul Ripke, after his partner and Australian cyclist Tiffany Cromwell took a photo of him lying naked in a creek in Aspen, Colorado, last year. The photo was published on Instagram and then sold for charity.
At the Las Vegas Grand Prix in November, Bottas talked about the calendar. “People asked me why I did it and why show your ass. But when I explained the charity aspect, people understood, and we had a lot of fun, as you can imagine, taking these pictures”.
