In an interview with Nia Long, released in his YouTube Channel this Tuesday (7), Jeezy opened up about several subjects of his life, including his split from Jeannie Mai. This September he filed for divorce after two-and-a-half years of marriage, citing “irreconcilable differences”.

During the conversation he admitted that the split “has not been an easy journey. I can tell you that I’m sad. I can tell you that I’m disappointed. I can tell you that I’m uneasy”. He also revealed that he and Jeannie tried therapy before separating. Last month, on October 19, Jeezy released a statement to speak about the breakup.
“The decision to end this chapter in my life was not made impulsively and comes with a heavy heart. Despite this, my love and respect for Jeannie remains and the time we spent together holds a cherished place in my heart”, explained the rapper.
The former couple started dating in 2018, and got married in March 2021. They share a daughter, Monaco, born in January 2022.
