When introduced in the chamber, Republican congresswoman Elise Stefanik highlighted that Johnson is known as “a friend to all, an enemy to none.” However, he faces considerable challenges in his new role. First, he will have to negotiate skillfully to avoid a federal government shutdown scheduled for mid-November, dealing not only with experienced politicians like Democratic Senator Chuck Schumer and President Joe Biden, but also with members of his own broken.
