We brought so much peace to the Middle East through the Abraham Accords, only to witness Biden undo it much more quickly than any one could imagine,” wrote the Republican. In August, the Biden administration agreed to release $6 billion in frozen Iranian oil resources in exchange for the release of five Americans imprisoned in Tehran, with the condition that the money be used exclusively for humanitarian purposes.

Republicans argue that Biden’s approach to Iran has created the conditions for Hamas to strengthen and carry out attacks.
The president has increasingly distanced himself from Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu, who led the most conservative government in Israel’s history, and faces pressure for not prioritizing the issue of Palestine and Israel. With just over a year to go before the next presidential elections, other members of the opposition are also criticizing Biden amid this conflict. Florida governor and second-place finisher in Republican polls for next year’s race, Ron DeSantis, posted a video on old Twitter claiming something very similar to Trump’s statement.
In the video, he claims that Iran contributed financially to the war against Israel, and that Biden’s lax policies toward Tehran helped fill the coffers for it.
