The singer Dua Lipa debuted as an actress playing the Mermaid Barbie, in three versions presented in the film. In addition, the muse is still part of the soundtrack of the film, in a very Disco rhythm, in the song ‘Dance the night’.

The debut as an actress was modest, in a total of 5 lines, divided between her appearances that add up to approximately one minute of screen time. “Hi, Barbie,” “Bye Barbie” are some of them. She stars opposite the main cast, and John Cena, who plays the newt.
