Harry Styles jokes about ‘spit’ controversy with Chris Pine at concert

Harry Styles mocked the comments that he had spit on Chris Pine during the premiere of “Don’t Worry Darling” at the Venice Film Festival last Monday (5/9). During his concert at Madison Square Garden last Wednesday (7/9), he joked on stage that he went “quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine”.

“This is our tenth show at Madison Square Garden. It’s wonderful, wonderful, wonderful to be back in New York”, Harry said to the audience’s applause and continued: “I just popped very quickly to Venice to spit on Chris Pine. But fret not, we’re back!”, he said laughing.

Last Tuesday (9/6), sources close to Styles denied what happened to The Guardian: “That is not true”. A representative for Pine later denied that Harry had spit on the actor during the festival and called the rumors “ridiculous”.

“This is a ridiculous story — a complete fabrication and the result of an odd online illusion that is clearly deceiving and allows for foolish speculation. There is nothing but respect between these two men and any suggestion otherwise is a blatant attempt to create drama that simply does not exist.”
