She’s back! Cameron Diaz, 49, has come out of retirement and will star in Netflix’s upcoming romantic comedy “Back in Action”. In 2018, the actress made the end of her career official, her last role was in “Annie”, released in 2014.

Jamie Foxx, who is cast in the streaming film and worked with the actress on “Annie,” revealed the news on Twitter. The actor shared audio of a phone call between himself, Diaz and Tom Brady, the NFL player who also dropped out of retirement weeks after announcing it.

“I feel excited but, I don’t know how to do this, you know?” Diaz said. “”I was talking to Jamie and he said you need a few tips on how to un-retire. I’m relatively successful at un-retiring,” Brady joked.
Shortly after publication, Cameron confirmed the announcement on Instagram Stories.”(Jamie Foxx) only you could get me back in action,” he wrote. “I can’t frickin wait it’s gonna be a blast!”
“Back In Action” is directed by Seth Gordon. Filming starts later this year.
