Actress Ana de Armas first appeared in images of the movie ‘Blonde’, as Marilyn Monroe. The film produced by Netflix is inspired by the work of Joyce Carol Oates about the life of one of the most famous artists in the world. The film explores Marilyn’s life of fame, and its effects. Directed by Andrew Dominik, the feature is scheduled for release on September 23 this year, on Netflix.

The intention is to go through Norma Jean’s childhood, through her path to stardom, and her relationships. The film will explore the actress’ public and private persona. Ana stated that the production will make the viewer feel what Marilyn lived through. The cast includes big names like Bobby Cannavale, Adrien Brody, Julianne Nicholson, Xavier Samuel and Evan Williams. According to the lead actress, the film has been in production for over a year. She stated that she consumed every possible content from Marilyn, and every detail was evaluated.

For them, the first question should be ‘What was Norma Jean feeling here right now?’ The main objective was to show her human side. “Fame is what made Marilyn the most visible person in the world, but it’s what made Norma Jean invisible,” said Ana de Armas. The director highlighted that Blonde is a demanding film, in every way.
